Advanced Diagnostic Screening

We offer a wide range of advanced diagnostics with same day results:

  • Biochemical screening

  • Complete blood counts

  • Urinalysis

  • Skin cytology

  • Heartworm screening

  • Zinc sulfate fecal floatation

  • Lyme, E.canis, Anaplasma exposure screening

  • FeLV/FIV screening

  • Digital radiography (including dental)

  • Abdominal ultrasound with tissue sampling as appropriate

Soft Tissue Surgery

Using modern anesthestic medications and monitoring devices, we offer a variety of soft tissue surgeries not limited to, but including the following:

  • Ovariohysterectomy (spay)/orchiectomy (neuter)

  • Mass excision & biopsy

  • Wound/Laceration Repair

  • Enterotomy, gastrotomy, and gastropexy

  • Cystotomy

We do not perform elective declawing.  The American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP) strongly opposes declawing (onychectomy) as an elective procedure. The AAFP consensus statement regarding declawing states:  it is the obligation of veterinarians to provide cat owners with alternatives to declawing.

Rehabilitation

Rehabilitation (similar to physical therapy in humans)is the treatment of injury or illness to decrease pain and restore function.  Goals of  veterinary rehabilitation include: facilitate tissue healing, restore muscle strength, increase endurance and proprioception, prevent further injury, and re-condition the animal to its prior activity level. The first step in this process is to establish a thorough diagnosis. A complete orthopedic and neurologic examination will be performed before a rehabilitation program is initiated.
